I’m Malin Ringsby, a graphic designer with experience in identity-, packaging- and editorial design and a passion for print, detail and things hand made.
Since graduating from Berghs school of communication 2009, with a bachelor in graphic design, I’ve been working as a designer at BAS in Stockholm but have also done work as a freelance designer as well as self initiated projects alongside.
My work at BAS has mainly been focused around packaging design and final art for the label Garant, which can be found at Axfood’s food stores throughout Sweden. Our team has made about 800 or so products within this brand up until now and have received several awards for it – including second place in Guldägget 2013 and several wins in Månadens design, held by swedish magazine Resumé.
Before switching to graphic design I’d been working as a journalist for several years. In fact I started my first job at a local newspaper when I was 16 and have since then tried everything from writing and photographing to managing the position as music editor and doing layout. Since coming from a journalist background I naturally have a soft spot for editorial design, and as a designer I’ve worked with magazines as well as books and leaflets.
Craft and DIY is a passion of mine, and I love it when I get to incorporate this in my work as a graphic designer. Another output for this passion is my blog www.rockpaperscissors.se
If you’re curious of my work I recommend you to browse this page to have a look at some of the designs I’ve made. And if you’re interested in working with me – don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
